About Breakout
Move your pointer, or touch and drag, to slide the paddle. Tap to launch the ball and break the bricks: a coloured brick scores 1 point, a light grey brick takes two hits and scores 2, and a steel brick never breaks and is not needed to clear a level. Break several bricks in a row before the ball comes back to the paddle for a combo bonus. Clearing a level adds 10 points, and the ball gets faster every level. Broken bricks sometimes drop a power-up: wide paddle, multi-ball, slow ball or extra life. You have three lives and lose one when your last ball falls; the play ends with the last life. Reach 1000 points to win.
